While many entrepreneurs are cutting back in these months, Michael Freiherr von Gemmingen is investing in the Schloss Neuhaus, thus fighting the general crisis in the event industry. The owner of the historic property near Sinsheim relies on the know-how of marketing expert Maik Brian, who, since September, has been responsible for the marketing of the location, which is mainly known as a wedding location.

Maik Brian is an advertising expert and certified business economist and most recently headed the corporate communications department at the engineering company Schunk. He has a wealth of agency and event experience, as, among other things, a long-term manager for the VIP premises of the 1st FC Nuremberg and an organizer of the nationwide golf tournaments of the financial services provider MLP.

His mission to acquire new customers, especially in the corporate sector, is particularly challenging in pandemic times. Nevertheless, he is looking forward to the new task, “the longing for atmospheric experiences such as weddings, but also company celebrations is greater than ever,” says the 44-year-old. The numerous indoor and outdoor areas in the castle as well as the hygiene measures taken make it possible to use the venue even during these months.

As a first measure, the office was moved from the neighbouring Rauhof to the castle, so that the Kraichgauer and his colleagues find themselves in an optimum position for the acquisition and support of new events. “Ultimately, the beautiful castle is also suitable for conferences, product presentations or Christmas parties,” agree Michael Freiherr von Gemmingen and his new marketing and event manager.
