Your hike doesn’t have to be that far, but if you walk the German part of the Way of St. James you will pass Neuhaus Castle. Namely on the 184km long section between Rothenburg and Speyer. From Speyer it would be 2,294 km to Santiago de Compostela.
If you want to hike only for one hour, we recommend two wonderful hiking trails around Neuhaus Castle. Especially at such times, it is perfect for clearing your head, promoting your health and discovering new things. Start from Ehrstädt a 7km long circular route on paved field and forest paths.
A slightly shorter route with 5km leads you from the neighboring mill to our medieval castle. An imposing sight will open up to you when you come out of the forest and look at the castle.
